Project 1: Part 1

Our task was to make new animation of the at least 4 animation of the elements thats provided.

Progress:

Fig.1.1 Progress "Balance"

I started with balance because I thought I had an idea already. I put 2 half circle and ball on top of them and move left and right to make it look like they are balancing.

Fig.1.2 Progress "Movement"

I wanted to try out the repeater function and ball was the easiest object and yet still looks cool so i chose balls to make a movement animation.

Fig.1.3 Progress "Hierarchy"

So after that I wanted to play around with size and position in repeater function and it was perfect fit to do it for hierarchy so I made a rectangle shape and played around with size and position to make the hierarchy.

Fig.1.4 Progress "Direction"

I actually got inspiration from the reference video I put above. I watched the video and I just recreated it. Because of this, I was able to learn how moving the anchor point works and how is it beneficial.

Fig.1.5 Progress "Symmetry"

This is the one I struggled because its so easy to make symmetrical animation but its hard to make it look not too simple so I tried to make something not too simple an smooth. I could have done it better but Im satisfied with the result.

Fig.1.6 Progress "Focus"

I wanted to make something that makes people watching focus so I made squares keeping going in the middle and made them loop.

Fig.1.7 Progress "Scale"

I got inspiration from the second reference I put above.so I made the squares keep moving changing scale smoothly.

Fig.1.8 Progress "Rhythm"

I didn't know what to do for the rhythm because its hard to show rhythm with only animation so I decided to make something thats keep moving in same pace to show the rhythm.

Final Outcome part 1:

Fig.1.9 Final Outcome Part 1

I put easy ease to all of the key frame to make the animation way smoother. Also I didn't know I didn't have to make everything change so I ended up doing all but it was good practice so I don't regret doing it.

Project 1: Part 2

Our task was to make the remix using the 8 animation we have from part 1.

Fig.2.1 Progress remix

I wanted something interesting looking opening and movement was the perfect fit for that so I filiped the animation and put right next to normal one to make it more interesting.

Fig.2.2 Progress remix

I was thinking how to put the symmetry animation because it looked like it can't go well with any other animation and its also too boring to just put the symmetry animation itself in the screen but I found the the diagonal lines that direction and symmetry have match pretty well so I decided to put it together.

Fig.2.3 Progress remix

I made the interesting pattern by putting the focus animation next to each other and it worked out pretty well.

Fig.2.4 Progress remix

I realized balance and rhythm was moving in same rhythm so I decided to put it together to make it satisfying to watch.

Final Outcome Part 2

Fig.2.5 Final Outcome Part 2

Throughout whole remix, I tried to keep the animations symmetrical and make the transition smoother to make it look more interesting and neat.
