REFLECTIONS

Experiences

During the Advanced Typography class, I was able to learn more about the complicated world of typography and discover its many uses in design and communication. This trip of thought has been beneficial and enriching. It has helped me learn more about typography and how it affects visual compositions.

Observations

As I learned more about different typographic methods, I saw how important hierarchy is for directing the viewer's attention and organising information well. By cleverly playing with text sizes, styles, and placement, designers can set up a visual hierarchy that makes it easy for people to find their way around information. This realisation has helped me improve my ability to make designs that are both attractive and clear.

Findings

The most important thing I've learned from this module is how typographic systems and grid structures work. I found out that typographic layouts that look easy are actually based on a well-structured grid system that helps organize information in a uniform way. Text, spacing, and margins that are lined up in a grid give the design a feeling of order and visual unity, making it easy to read. My design skills have grown as I've tried out different grid structures and modular scales. This has helped me create advanced typographic styles that are both beautiful and useful.
