I create a design about Summer festivals, also known as matsuri, which is held all over Japan from July through August. Most summer festivals are annual traditions and intended to celebrate the gods, the seasons, and historical events. Some of these festivals can last for weeks.

REFLECTION

This task was so hard for me because I had no idea what to make first. So what I struggled with most was coming up with ideas. Since I couldn't really understand the meaning of the renewal of life I chose the cultural celebration. I did some research about cultural celebrations and I came up with the idea which is displaying Japanese traditional events. After that everything went smoothly. I also could say this task improved my skills in adobe illustrator a lot since I had to make many features with tools. So overall, this task was a good opportunity to think about my culture and to improve my skills in adobe illustrator.
