3. Progress

Fig.3.1

These are the shapes that we had to use to create the character. We were allowed to use any shapes as much as we wanted but we weren't allowed to distort the shapes.

Fig.3.2 The example

This is the example that Mr. Hafiz gave us. I was inspired by this design, especially the hands part and the face part.

Fig.3.3 The shapes that I used

These are the shapes that I used to make my character. I tried to use as many shapes as possible. I used the leftmost shape the most to create the upper part of the headphones.

Fig.3.4 Outlines for the Final outcome

I tried to make a character that is simple and neat.

4. Final Outcome

Fig.4.1 The Final Outcome

The concept of this character is that he is listening to music and he met his friend while he was whistling to the music. That's why he is waving his hand and looks so happy. I put the most details on his fingers and arms and legs. I created the joints and fingers to make this more realistic. The hardest part was the music symbol part because I couldn't distort and I had to make them with limited shapes.

REFLECTION

I really enjoyed this task and I am satisfied with my final outcome. It was a bit challenging for me because I was too unfamiliar with adobe Illustrator but with much support from my friends and lecturer, I was able to make a character effectively. So it was a great opportunity to get used to adobe Illustrator.
