INSTRUCTION


・Biography about myself

    My name is Hayato Saito. I turned 20 on 29th oct. I am from Japan. I decided to come here to study because I wanted to see and experience different and many kinds of cultures and languages since there is only Japanese in Japan.

    I describe myself as a very very lazy person like a sloth. That’s why my favorite animal is a sloth because I feel like they describe me the most. I am also often told I am calm. I tend to be interested in things that no one is doing yet or like something new or something unique. That’s why I started to grow my hair and now I have so long hair. Even tho I said I am a lazy person. I like seeing things are organized so I always want to keep my room or my stuff organized but I am too lazy to do so the reality is my room is always messy.

    My favorite color is orange and my favorite fruit is mandarin. Things that I like to do is playing basketball, watching basketball, playing pool, drawing, late night driving, eating, cooking, doing workout, taking picture with film camera, watching youtube, etc. I am not a very outside person but not a very inside person either. I have really high standards when it comes to something I am passionate about. I will keep trying my best till I’m satisfied. I think that’s something good and bad at the same time because once I can start doing it I will be doing till I create the best but sometimes it takes time so much time for me to get motivated and even start doing it because I am afraid of not being able to make the best or failing.

・Statement about my work

    Since the reason why I came here to study is that I wanted to see and experience different and many kinds of cultures and languages. I want to create something related to that reason and my personality.

    I’ve seen many things, something interesting, cool, happy, boring, painful, sad, big, etc. and I will see many things too. I don’t know what I will see. Things that I saw in the past are numerous. The range of types is crazy wide.

    I am planning to use various colors because I want to describe the diversity of the cultures and people and languages and etc. The main color will be orange since that’s my favorite color.

I made my face black and white because I didn’t want to put emphasis on my face. the universe in the eyes describes the breadth and number of things I saw. The cars represent new things I see. Different colors represent the diversity of what I see such as different cultures and different languages and various kinds of people. I used orange in the background because it’s my favorite color. The clouds represent calm which is my personality.
